Pre-Existing Condition
A pre-existing condition is a health problem that existed before your current coverage started. Under the Affordable Care Act, most plans can no longer deny coverage or charge you more because of one. If a plan tries to deny care by pointing to a pre-existing condition, that denial may conflict with current law.
